As I sit here at my desk, I’m getting ready for my April 26th departure for China. I’m really looking forward to this trip because of the itinerary. I’m going to be visiting all 6 sites where we’ll be helping build Churches in Henan and Hubei provinces. Since we’ve recieved the principle funding, we can go ahead and start the building. One of the amazing things about church building in rural China is that they can build the churches in about 2 months. So when they start, they really get going. It’s also amazing that there is normally only one paid worker on the building site. He is the ‘foreman,’ who coordinates all the other workers, which are normally volunteer farmers. I’m also going to be in Beijing for 4 days. I hope to be able to make progress on opening our Representative office in Beijing and will be meeting with government leaders to start the process of co-sponsoring a series of conferences on Religious Freedom and Rule of Law.
Throughout the trip, I’ll be regularly updating the blog. So check back often!
