The China Resource Center is a new and exciting ministry that was born from years of China ministry, China experience, and a vision to do China ministry with the most effective models. Founded on February 14, 2005, the China Resource Center has a deep desire to do two things, and do them well. We want to serve the Growth and Development of the Church in China in their areas of felt needs. This enables them to be more effective to reach other Chinese for Christ! We also want to become be the Premier Information Provider for Christianity in China and the trusted source for accurate information for the Western Church. As the Church in the West is able to know what opportunities exist, they can more effectively engage with God's work in China.

New Content!

If you want to know about our organization, there is no better documents that these.  From February to May 2007, the Staff and Board of Directors heard clearly from God on the future of our ministry and it's direction. The result was a paper we're calling Vision 2012, which is a look at what we think God wants to do with our organization over the next 5 years.

There are two versions of Vision 2012:

1. The first is the full 11 page document, which completely outlines the future of our work. Download it here!
2. The second version is the 4 page, 'Executive Summary.' This abbreviated version is for those who want the essential details without reading a number of pages. Download it here.

We exist to accomplish two main purposes:

  1. We exist to serve the growth and development of the Church in China through theological training, Bible distribution, Church building and other partnership opportunities.
  2. We exist to enhance the China ministry culture and clarify Western perceptions of Christianity in China through extensive research and education, thereby equipping China ministry leaders, workers and the Church in the West to more effectively advance the kingdom of God in China.
 Vision

We envision Chinese with a passionate love for Christ, an understanding of God’s power in their lives with a strong desire and ability to spread the Gospel throughout China.

Statement of Faith: You can read the essentials of our faith here. This defines our worldview.

Research and Education

We aim to the the premire information provider about Christianity in China to the Western Church. Based on real world research and experience, we have several vehicles that we use to educate the West on China. Please visit our Publications page to view our China Resource Journal and our Booklets on Christianity in China.

China Projects

After a number of years of understanding the Church in China, and developing relationships at all levels of the Church, we've asked our Chinese Christian friends how we can best serve their growth and development. In trying to be good listeners and really understanding what their felt needs are, there are two projects that have come through as ways that we can take the resources we have in the West to serve their growth and development.

1. Theological Training

We've developed a system where we recruit 2 to 3-man teams to go to China for a 12-day training trip. These teams have Chinese pastors from Chinese churches in the U.S. These teams are teaching on subjects like proper Biblical interpretation, effective evangelism, etc. These are the subjects they need most and are asking us for. We will focus these teams in a 5 province area of Northeast China, with Tianjin being the center of activity.

2. Bible Distribution

In 2004, the Amity Printing Co., which is a cooperative effort between the China Christian Council and the United Bible Societies, printed 5.4 million Bibles in China last year. Those Bibles then go by railcar to 70 distribution points throughout the country. From those points, they have Bible distribution vans that take those Bibles to all corners of China. When you look at the radius of where those vans take the Bibles, there is still some very remote areas of China that do not have access to those Bibles. We raise money to get Bibles to those very rural areas of China. For about $2.50, you can cover the cost of the Bible, distribution and the oversight of the distribution itself.

U.S. Projects

Having a deep heart for the Chinese people makes us look for every opportunity to be with and influence the Chinese people. Being based in Denver gives us the opportunity to spend with Chinese Students and Scholars at University of Colorado's Health Science Center (Medical School). We want these Chinese intellectuals to know and feel God's love for them while they are here with us in Denver. Through English Classes and Bible Studies, we want to serve these Chinese Scholars while they are here!
